(*) Python3 should be present, of course - that’s a given in all major distros. And probably you’ll need some extra software like dblatex, Apache FOP etc…

It’s a good idea to make use of Python’s venv (virtual environment), especially when working with pip.

3.7. Container (Docker, PodMan)

The image asciidoc3/asciidoc3:latest is hosted at https://hub.docker.com/u/asciidoc3.
Your system automatically downloads it when you start docker run … asciidoc3/asciidoc3:latest
Before you begin download and install asciidoc3_docker-3.2.2.tar.gz as described here.
